Radial Bearings

Our PDC radial bearings are designed to carry the radial, or side loads, in down-hole drilling tools. US Synthetic bearings offer a more abrasive resistant bearing with the potential to increase tool life, reliability, and side load carrying capacity than tungsten carbide alternatives.

Radial Bearings

Products

US Synthetic bearings are extremely hard, are resistant to abrasives, have low coefficient of friction (COF), and are resistant to high temperatures. Relying on 30 years of manufacturing experience in developing advanced Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) used in oil and gas exploration–the US Synthetic Bearings division has developed products that are better than metal alloy bearings. With their capability to withstand large thrust loads, and the ability to operate in abrasive environments, our diamond bearings deliver:

US Synthetic Bearings offers the following:

Thrust Bearings

In down-hole drilling tools, large thrust loads can result from drilling and from the hydraulic loading caused by drilling mud flowing through tool components. US Synthetic PDC bearings provide a high-performance alternative to conventional bearings that are virtually impervious to abrasive particles in the drilling mud that often cause ball bearings to wear out more quickly.

Wear Parts

Polycrystalline diamond is an extremely wear resistant material that can be used to protect drilling tool components from abrasive wear caused by contact between the exterior of the tool and the bore-hole wall.
